Pukas Surf Shop presents Obey x Suicidal Tendencies collaboration in San Sebastian
Obey chose the Pukas flagship store in San Sebastian to launch the collab. in Spain. Obey has collaborated with the legendary band Suicidal Tendencies. 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of their first record and they wanted to put something together that reflected the influence Suicidal has had on Shepard and OBEY.
To celebrate the launching, Bikini Gorge played live in front of the crowd at the very own shop, at the -1 level of the flagship Pukas Shop in the old part of the city. Beers and Jagermaister made the rest.
Obey worked with Mike Muir, the founder of Suicidal Tendencies as well as two of the original artists responsible for the art behind the band. Obey used Ric Clayton’s work from Possessed To Skate and the original drawings from skateboarder Lance Mountain, paying respect to the original work but putting an OBEY twist to them, showing the heritage and legacy that the band and artists have created.
