ASP BWWT – Peru. Adur Letamendia to join the elite Top 12 in Pico Alto.
It’s ON. The Big Wave World Tour will finally kick off under the ASP umbrella this thursday, July 3rd.
After monitoring what has been considered one of the biggest swells of the last couple of years, Peru seems to have the ideal elements necessary for this particular swell.
Adur Letamendia, our Marketing and Communication guy, has been called IN (due to Alex Gray’s injury). Adur will be temporarily out of the office, and will officially be part of the elite Top 12 Big Wave World Tour during this event, 1st ever run by the ASP.
In the line up of Pico Alto (Peru), Adur will join fellow team rider and good friend Grant “Twiggy” Baker, who is responsible for the development of the guns that will hit the water in Peru. Check them out here.
The 2014/2015 BWWT season is divided into seasonal holding periods in the Southern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere, with three possible events in each. Forecasters discovered a storm heading toward South America, and put BWWT competitions in both Chile and Peru on Yellow Alert.
