Gabriel Medina (BRA) 19, has finished runner up at the Quiksilver Pro France 2013, showing an incredible variety of technical airs and turns. Held between the two spots of Le Penon and La Graviere in excellent surf, Gabriel has surfed the latest rounds on his favourite Pukas GAME, 5’09 x 19 x 2 ¼ at 27 litres, shaped by Johnny Cabianca.
With this result, Gabriel Medina cements himself as a legitimate all-time expert at the tricky french shorebreaks of Hossegor and Seignosse at any given condition. To his credit, he has nailed the following results over the years:
2009: King of the Groms World Champ with two 10s in the final*
2011: 1st place at the Quik Pro France 2011 (as a rookie)*
2012: 5th place at the Quik Pro France 2012*
2013: 2nd place at the Qui Pro France 2013*

The Quik Pro France 2013 has seen Gabriel nailing his best result of the year so far. Getting as far as the final put Gabriel to test in all sorts of conditions. En route to the final clash he beat the following surfers:
