The Fang

The FANG has two main features. The first one is that the outline is longer than the stringer, making the board faster than usual. And the second one is The FANG’s single, deep channel. It holds in arching, tight turns, throws big ammounts of water and gives an extra control for aerials. Orders are recommended to be done 2” to 4” shorter than regular shortboard.

Peter Daniels has always held a pretty close friendship with profesional surfers. When developing The FANG, Jordy Smith was one of the first to try it, He fell inmediately in love with it and took a FANG to his upcoming trip. The Acero Brothers and of course Aritz Aranburu have been some of the standouts on them. Watching Josh Kerr suring on a borrowed FANG and scoring the highest scores of the whole event had the commentator with their mouth shut!

Igor Muniain and Karlos Gomez, just to name a few local surfers from the Basque Country, have already added a FANG to their quiver. It’s a must having one. Check Karlos sufing on it in this video.
